My kit of Premier drums (called the '58' kit). I think this referred to the year it was designed. The
drums were a 20" x 15" bass drum, 16" x 16" Floor Tomtom, 12" x 8" Side Tomtom and a 14" x 4" 'Royal Ace' snare drum.
Cymbals were very cheap 'Zyn' and 'Super Zyns'. At the time this photo was taken (around 1964) I had flashing lights
in the three larger drums, these were controlled by a electronic timer box which I made myself and I operated from a
switch under my stool seat. This prompted our vandriver to comment 'Every time Barry sticks his finger up his bottom,
his drums light up"!
