A typical 'van-loading' scene outside our house in Fifth Avenue as we load up for a booking somewhere. My drums never had any cases and I went through all my drumming years without ever protecting them from damage. Thankfully they never did become seriously damaged. The only time was when Ken, the van-driver accidentally (so he says!) put his foot through one of my Tomtom heads. Surprisingly, I never replaced any other heads at all.
